Hello From Palm Springs - February 22, 2018
From Bruce and Mickie at the Palm Strings Ukulele Festival - "How is it going back home? Can't believe it has been two months since we left. Thanks for the hats, it was nice to get a little something from home. Judy and Suzanne both made it and are enjoying the weather in Palm Springs. Stay warm!"

Tiny Tim's Ukulele at St. Paul Guitar Repair - January 24, 2018
I was at St. Paul Guitar Repair talking with Luthier Ron Tracy. He said he had something that I might like to see. It was a Kamaka Soprano that Tiny Tim purchased at the Kamaka factory. Wow! Ron did a lot of work on Tiny Tim's ukuleles and had very nice things to say about him. Here are some photos of the Kamaka ukulele. What a thrill to hold and play Tiny Tim's ukulele.

Many think of Tiny Tim as a joke character. However, the Houston Press said, Tiny Tim was "a champion of music of the ‘20s, ‘30s and ‘40s, with an encyclopedic knowledge of songs, writers and performers that impressed even Bing Crosby. For all his weirdness, Tim was a real musical archivist. While his life, understandably, overshadows his music sometimes, the man could sing long-forgotten songs for three hours straight without repeating a single one."
