What - MPtB 2 is a workshop that helps ukulele players move to the next level.  Updated from 2024 workshop. MPtB lessons are taught by Tony Anthonisen.

Group Lesson Focus - These sessions will focus on the skills that will move ukulele players past the beginner level. We'll cover must know chord & scale tones vs. shapes, reading and playing from tablature, easy to do fingerpicking, playing song melodies and strumming.

Skill Level — Advanced beginner and above. This MPtB 2 workshop at GMUG is designed to fill a skill level between GMUG beginner lessons, and more advanced GMUG workshops.

Workshop Materials
 - During these sessions we will use the materials provided in advance by Tony. Following your registration for MPtB you will receive a link so that you can access, download and print the workshop material. ​
MPtB Ticket Purchase and Sign Up
MPtB Fee - The fee for the Moving Past the Basics 2 workshop is $80.00 per person, including workshop materials. 
You must also purchase a Fall Jam/GMUG ticket (either "All-Weekend" or GMUG "Friday Only") to attend the MPtB workshop. Buy your ticket by selecting "TCUC Member" and use Password GMUG2025.

Fall Jam Ticket Purchase and MPtB Signup - Be sure to read instructions  immediately below!
To Purchase Fall Jam tickets and to sign up for Moving Past the Basics 2, click/tap on the "Ticket Purchase & MPtB Signup" button to the right, select the TCUC Member and quality of ticket you want, and enter the discount code GMUG2025, then click/tap on Add Tickets in the lower left hand corner. The next screen will have an option to add MPtB to your purchase. 
When purchasing Fall Jam tickets online, be sure to enter code GMUG2025 ​to access the TCUC Member price. This price is available with online advance purchase only. ​
2025 Fall Jam/GMUG Tickets - The MPtB fee does not cover Friday evening or Saturday Fall Jam or GMUG events. 

Lunch - Bring your own, or we will order from Davanni's as a group. You pick your choice from the Davanni's menu, we'll order for you and pay Davanni's, they deliver, and you pay Tony for what you order rounded up to the nearest dollar, plus a $3.00 tip per person. Sorry, no credit cards - cash or check only.
