Friday Morning

Thanks to Karen Olson for suggesting and leading this jam.

  • What - A ukulele jam using the Yellow and Blue Books (Daily Ukulele: 365 Songs For Better Living and Daily Ukulele: Leap Year Edition) To better control Covid-19 distancing and contact, we will not use handouts.

  • Who - Appropriate for all ukulele skill levels from absolute beginner to advanced.

  • When - Friday 10 a.m. - Noon. Setup starts at 9:30.

  • Weather - Weather permitting. If it rains, we’re out of luck!

  • Where - Karen Olson's home, 2921 Washburn Place, Bloomington - Near Southtown Shopping Center - Between Thomas and Xerxes, one block north of 86th Street. - Cell/text 612-978-2001. Space (and chairs!) for 10 to 12 people to sit at least 6’ apart. A bathroom will be available. Feel free to park in the driveway, signs will direct you to the back. Should be mosquito-free (we use a non-toxic spray.)

  • Bring - Ukulele, kazoo, cajón, music stand and clothespins to hold book pages if it is windy.

  • Covid-19 Precautions - We will follow very stringent Covid-19 precautionary guidelines - distancing, disinfectant and an abundance of caution! We will distance at least 6 feet. Masks will be used by all jammers at the Bloomington and Minneapolis Outdoor Jams.  We’ll keep the size of our group to 8. If there are more than 8, we will form a second group at a distance from the first.
