Who - These strums (jams) are geared for beginners to advanced ukulele players. These are not lessons.  However, the uke is so easy to play that even if you have never played before, we’ll show you simple chords to get you playing along right away. Feel free to invite your friends to come and sing or play with us.
What - Moderate paced ukulele jams led by experienced leaders. The jam focus will be on helping all jammers feel welcome and part of the jam from the first song to the last song!

NEW - Picking the Songs We Sing At Our Jams -
  • We play all kinds of music, from folk to rock, pop to gospel, country to Hawaiian, and all things ethnic — any music that is respectful, nothing offensive, off color, or inappropriate.
  • NEW - Songs at our monthly strums (jams) will come from the Wright County Strummers music/song book. Because of jammer requests at our 2025 monthly jams, Strummers will call songs of their choice from the music book. Song for jams will not be preselected.
  • Click here to access the Wright County Strummers music book/songs on Dropbox.
  • Songs are posted in a Ukulele Club of Wright County folder on Dropbox. A link to this will also be provided in the weekly Twin Cities Ukulele Club Event Email and on request by club members.
  • Wright County Strummers songs should be downloaded, printed and placed in a WCS Song Book. Each individual is responsible for their own song book.  Copies distributed at meetings will be limited.
  • Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to bring music to the group to be played together. The person providing the song must be able to proficiently lead the group in playing it or ask someone in the jam group if they are willing to lead it.
  • If you have a song you would like included in our song book please send it to Bill Beckman at [email protected], and Bill will upload it.
Food & Beverages - All food or beverages consumed at meetings must be paid for on delivery from the Bison Creek Bar & Dining server.
