What is a Jam - Jam sessions are often used by musicians as a social gathering and communal practice session. Jam sessions may be based upon existing songs, and jams are often loose gatherings of amateurs who get together to play music.  Jams are fun times to play music with others.

The UkeAmericana Jams -

These are jams, not lessons or workshops.  However, the uke is so easy to play that even if you have never played before, we’ll show you simple chords to get you playing along right away.

UkeAmericana Music in this jam is from the traditions that make up the American musical ethos; specifically those sounds that are merged from folk, cowboy, country, rock and blues.

Because of a generous gift in memory of our friend ukulele player Don Venne, we have a great projector and screen. As a result, we will show the lyrics and chords for songs played at most Twin Cities Ukulele Club jams, as well as other club events. Thanks Mary Rose!

We will use the books and Dropbox folder in the link above as our sources for jam songs.  Hardcopy versions of these books are available at Cadenza, Groth and the Edina Schmitt Music stores and online. Most jammers print out the Dropbox songs and put them in a 3-ring binder or on their tablet computer for use at jams.

The books are also available as ebooks for tablets, like the iPad. Click here if you are thinking of downloading books or song to use on an Apple iPad.
NOTE - If you want to put the ebook tablet versions on your tablet, do NOT buy the hardcover versions, or you will have to pay again for the ebook tablet versions.
