What is a MPtB Jam? - Jam sessions are often used by musicians as a social gathering and communal practice session. MPtB jams are fun times to work on and play music with others.
The Wednesday Noon MPtB - We will be working on and playing songs that have a higher level of difficulty than a beginner jam.
Who - The jam emphasis will be on ukulele. This jam is geared for adult and mature teen advanced beginners to advanced uke players, with an emphasis on more challenging songs and ukulele concepts. What if you can't keep up? Ukulele enthusiasts are kind and encouraging folks. You will NOT be asked to leave. Playing in a group setting is the best way to improve your skills. These Wednesday Noon MPtB jams are free and open to the public.

- High G vs. Low G Tuning - Either is fine. However, the Wednesday Noon MPtB Jam will include playing melodies. “Having that lower string in a low G tuning allows one to have a few extra lower notes to complete the scale and therefore extends the melodic range of the ukulele.” This makes a big difference when playing in some keys, like G. Click here for a good description of low G tuning.
- Song Book - We will use the Daily Ukulele: Leap Year Edition (Blue Book) as an additional source of jam songs. The Daily Ukulele: Leap Year Edition, both book and ebook, are available here.
