Twin Cities Ukulele Club songs for jams policy is as follows:
  • When a TCUC jammer calls a song in a jam, we will use a version from our regular stated song sources for that jam if the song is available. These sources are listed below and on the specific jam pages on www.tcukeclub.com.
  • A jammer may bring copies of a song not in one of our stated song sources for a jam. If they do this, they need to bring enough copies for all the jammers at that jam, and they must know it well enough to lead it.
  • If a jammer disagrees with the version of the song in our stated song sources, they may submit a different version to the Twin Cities Ukulele Club Coordinator well in advance of the jam at which they would like it to be played. The Club Coordinator will make the decision on which version we will use at our TCUC jams. If the Club Coordinator is unsure of which version to use, they may confer with the Twin Cities Ukulele Club Executive Committee or other TCUC members.

We will not add additional versions of songs simply because the song caller prefers a different version. Because there are so many versions of many/most songs, song callers need to be flexible. The Twin Cities Ukulele Club gives our jammers the opportunity to pick a song they like from a selection of a few thousand songs in our jam song sources. The option is to do as MANY ukulele clubs do. The leader picks all the songs and song versions, and they lead each song in the version they provided to the jammers. In these jams there is NO flexibility or opportunity for jammers to pick songs of their choice, and no opportunity to lead their song. The Twin Cities Ukulele Club prefers a more flexible approach.
