❤️ Fantastic weekend and many options for learning some new skills, and spending time with new and old friends! - Mickie
❤️ I love GMUG because of the high quality learning opportunities and to be around other ukulele folks that love playing as much as I do. - Bill
❤️ I’ve had a great time at all of the GMUG get togethers I have attended.
- Dwight
❤️ I live outside of the cities, and I loved how quickly and kindly I was welcomed two years ago. I was wonderfully surprised how many people remembered me the next year and went out of their way to have me join them. I’m looking forward to the 2024 GMUG! - Gabe
❤️ I like the Great Minnesota Uke Gathering because it offers such a great variety of events - from clinics, to open mics, concerts and prizes - and there’s something for players of every level. So looking forward to GMUG 2024! - Karen
❤️ The Great Minnesota Uke Gathering is of course a great place to pick up some pointers and new techniques from the many workshops. But for me, the best part has always been getting to see so many fellow ukers all in one place. It's always fun when ten or twenty of us get together for a jam, but it's really special when 150 gather to celebrate all things uke! - Steve C.
❤️ I really enjoy GMUG. The workshops are top notch with world class instructors. It is really cool that this happens during the bluegrass & old-time festival. There is music all through the hotel. - Don
❤️ Simply said…GMUG is one of the highlights on my calendar that I really look forward to each year! The opportunity to grow in my skills through the various workshops, learn from other Uke players, celebrate music by learning..playing…watching the many talented musicians that take over the hotel. I especially look forward to re-connecting with friends in the Uke community whom I haven’t seen for awhile! GMUG is the BEST! - Steve F.
❤️ Aside from the variety of enriching learning experiences, participating in a room filled with over 150 ukes playing together was delightful! - Zina
❤️ The past few years I have been fully involved with the bluegrass side of the events at the Crowne Plaza. This past year I dedicated more time to the GMUG side and was pleasantly surprised with the beginning ukulele workshop. Being mostly a bass player, I finally had a chance to spend some time playing my tenor ukulele and work up a few songs. For that experience, I am grateful to the Twin Cities Ukulele Club for putting on the event. - Brent
❤️ Last year, I went to GMUG after playing a ukulele for TWO weeks. Great experience. Learned so much. Met fun, friendly people. It’s really awesome! - Dave
❤️ It is such a great bang for the buck to be able to attend any of the Bluegrass sessions in addition to the uke events. I have learned much about Bluegrass and Bluegrass songs. Being welcomed into the daily and nightly jams all over the hotel has made me better at playing by ear. - Jim
❤️ I've never been to GMUG, but wanted to tell y'all about two teachers [at GMUG] this year - 2024, Aaron Keim and Del Ray. I've taken many ukulele workshops with them, and they are FABULOUS teachers and instrumentalists. - Sherri, Milwaukie, Oregon
