Twin Cities Ukulele Club
Twin Cities Ukulele Club Covid Policy
Effective 3-15-22

Twin Cities Ukulele Club Stance on Health Issues
  • The Twin Cities Ukulele Club Advisory Committee will continue to review the Covid situation and will revise our policies as we feel changes are appropriate.
  • We will take reasonable precautions to maximize the safety of our Twin Cities Ukulele Club members.
  • The health and safety of our event leaders and participants is our top priority.
  • We strongly believe it is better to err on the side of safety. It is better to be safe than sorry.
  • We base our policies on information from the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Minnesota Health Department.

Masking

The Twin Cities Ukulele Club requires the masks be warn as follows.

  • For the time being, all jammers will wear masks unless everyone present agrees that masks will not be worn at that jam. Many of our Twin Cities Ukulele Club jammers have health conditions that are high risk for or with Covid. We will continue to err on the side of caution to help protect all of our members. If you want masks to be worn, you may advise the jam leader at the jam, or send an email before a jam to tcuker@icloud.com. Leaders will do their best to respect your wish that your request for masking be kept confidential.
  • If a jammer is unable to wear a mask for medical reasons, they may attend a jam as long as they are willing to distance by at least 6 feet. Other masking, vaccination, negative test and location policies and requirements will remain in effect.
  • All jammers will wear a mask if required by the jam location. As of March 15, 2022 masks are required by the Minnesota Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship church jam location only.  Click here for the MVUUF requirements.
Masking and Singing - As of June 30, 2021, the Minnesota Department of Health says the following on their website. — Singing and instrumental music produced by woodwind or brass instruments are thought to be higher-risk activities for COVID-19 spread due to the aggressive expelling of respiratory droplets. This can result in aerosols that can hang in the air for hours. It is important to take extra precautions when participating in musical activities, especially if they involve vocalists and wind instrument musicians who are not yet vaccinated. -- https://www.health.state.mn.us/diseases/coronavirus/musicguide.pdf

Proof of Vaccination or Negative Covid Test

Proof of Vaccination - The Twin Cities Ukulele Club requires either proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours before arrival for all participants in TCUC events, including jams. This also applies to event visitors. Participants and visitors can show a vaccination record card or a report (printed or digital) recognized by the State of Minnesota, Wisconsin or other U.S. State. You will also need a photo ID that matches the name on your test report.

Negative Test - If you are 12 or older and do not have proof of vaccination, or if it has not been at least 14 days since you completed your vaccination sequence, you'll need to show a negative result from a COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours before your arrival at TCUC events. This can be printed or digital. You'll also need a photo ID that matches the name on your test report. (If you’re age 12-17, you do not need a photo ID when arriving with your adult.) Information on testing sites and home testing options: https://www.health.state.mn.us/diseases/coronavirus/testsites/index.html
