What is a StrumMn Meeting/Jam?

Picture
Jam sessions are often used by musicians as a social gathering and communal practice session. Jam sessions may be based upon existing songs, and jams are often loose gatherings of amateurs who get together to play music. Jams are fun times to play music with others.

The StrumMn Jams - StrumMn has been meeting since Oct 2005 to have fun playing the uke, share ideas, and help each other learn and improve our playing. These are THE VERY SAME StrumMn meetings we know and love!

When - The 2nd and 4th Mondays each month from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m.

Where - Kenwood (Park) Community Center – 2101 Franklin Ave. W, Minneapolis, MN 55405 - For more information about the Kenwood Park Community center click here.  For a map click here
.

Who - This StrumMn jam is free and open to the public. Players of all skill levels are welcome. Jammers should be aware that we will be singing and playing some songs that have more chords and more difficult chords at StrumMn jams.

Songs We Play At This Jam -
  • Daily Ukulele - 365 Songs For Better Living - The Yellow Book
  • Daily Ukulele - Leap Year Edition - The Blue Book
  • Daily Ukulele - Another Year - The Purple Book
  • Song on sheets brought by jammers. If you are bringing a song, you will need about 15 copies for other jammers. Any songs are fair game as long as enough people have access, and YOU are willing to lead a song that you choose. (The Leader reserves the right of veto if necessary.)
