What is a StrumMn Meeting/Jam?

Picture
Jam sessions are often used by musicians as a social gathering and communal practice session. Jam sessions may be based upon existing songs, and jams are often loose gatherings of amateurs who get together to play music. Jams are fun times to play music with others.

The StrumMn Jams - StrumMn has been meeting since Oct 2005 to have fun playing the uke, share ideas, and help each other learn and improve our playing. These are THE VERY SAME StrumMn meetings we know and love!

When - The 2nd and 4th Mondays each month from 7 to 9 p.m.

Where - Kenwood (Park) Community Center – 2101 Franklin Ave. W, Minneapolis, MN 55405 - For more information about the Kenwood Park Community center click here.  For a map click here
.

Who - This StrumMn jam is free and open to the public.

Song Books - We routinely use songs and tunes from the Daily Ukulele: 365 Songs For Better Living (Yellow Book) and the Daily Ukulele: Leap Year Edition (Blue Book) at the StrumMn meetings, as well as songs on sheets provided by jammers.
