Who - Ukes of the Valley (UOTV) is open to all ukulele players, whether you are an absolute beginner or an advanced player.
What - The three goals of this group are as follows: 1) Have fun. 2) Learn and grow as players and as members of a music group. 3) Share our joyful noise through occasional performances at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church and elsewhere in the community. (Item 3 is optional, intended for those who want to share their love of music through public performance.)
Songs - We play pop, rock, folk, country, and religious music. Songs are gathered by the UOTV coordinator, based, mostly, on participant suggestions, and provided to participants in paper and/or electronic format. Because our goals include learning, growing, and performing, we spend extra time on most songs–often playing a song 2 or 3 times during a session. With this focus on learning and growing, we may play 10-12 songs over a 90-minute session.
