What is a Jam?

Jam sessions are often used by musicians as a social gathering and communal practice session. Jams are fun times to play music with others.

The Monday Jams - These are not lessons.  However, the uke is so easy to play that even if you have never played before, we’ll show you simple chords to get you playing along right away.

We'll help jammers find the "sweet spot!"

Who - The jam emphasis will be on ukulele.  These jams are geared for adult and mature teen beginners to advanced uke players, with an emphasis on keeping things simple so all can participate right from the beginning.

What - Moderate paced ukulele jams that are open to the public.

Because of a generous gift in memory of our friend ukulele player Don Venne, we have a great projector and screen. Thanks Mary Rose!

Important Fine Print - We use the Daily Ukulele Yellow and Blue books, and the baritone versions of these books at most of our Twin Cities Ukulele Club jams. And, we show the songs in these books on a screen at many jams. In order to show the contents of these books on a screen at a jam, jammers must have their own copies of the print or digital/ebook versions of the Yellow and Blue books or the baritone equivalents. Click here to see information about these song books, and see #5 - Music/Song Books.
